Welcome to PLANET GYMN! Dedicated to the only sport that combines grace, strength, poise, power, and balance- Artistic Gymnastics.This is my first website so bear with me. Right now I have sections on CHINA, UKRAINE, and ROMANIA so check it out. I try to update my page at least bi-weekly. Each section has an article, bio, quotes, tricks, and info on gymnasts from that country. Please e-mail me with any ideas and feedback, i need your input! Thanks!

NEWS FLASH! DTB, Swiss, and Chunichi Cup

***Note: Asian Games update in China section.***
DTB Cup: Khorkina (bars and floor) and Amanar ( beam and vault) shared the 4 gold medals. Svetlana had the highest score in finals, 9.8 on bars and floor , and Amanar close behind her with 9.725, 9.75. Olga Teslenko was 2nd on beam, while Elena Dolgopolova only scored an 8.55 on vault ( 9.537 in prelims). ___________________________
Swiss Cup: Amanar had a decent meet, taking home 2 silver medals on her weaker events, beam and bars. On beam she was in the lead in prelims but had a surprising 8.9 in the finals.Produnova took the beam gold with a 9.7. Khorkina proved herself master of the bars, once again, with a 9.825, much higher than Simona's 9.5. Elena Zamolodchikova won floor with 9.725 and vault 9.650 ( Varga came very close: 9.625) and is one to watch for. ___________________________
Ukranians dominated the Chunichi Cup this year. Viktoria Karpenko defended her title, with 38.425 AA.Teammate Teslenko, was 3rd. Evgenia Kuznetsova took the silver. Last years silver medalist, Amanar came in a disappointing 6th. For the men, Bondarenko took the gold. Tsukahara 0.1 behind.
NOTE: "The Great Four" ( Glasglow Grand Prix, Swiss, DTB, and Cottnbus Cup) is going to be telvised on Fox SportsNet from Jan.-Mar.
